My name is Helen and I LOVE WEDDINGS! So after many years of attending and appreciating ceremonies of all kinds, it really was a lightbulb moment for me to decide to train to become a wedding celebrant and I feel privileged to be able to do this as a job. For me there was no question that I wanted to become part of the Humanists UK network of celebrants as, not only are Humanist celebrants trained to the highest standards, I am also firmly aligned to the values of Humanism – you can find out more on Humanism here https://humanists.uk/humanism.

Pivotal for me is the belief that we only have one life and, therefore, I whole heartedly believe that we should live our BEST LIFE. Occasions such as weddings are key milestones in our lives and, for me, life is too short to not mark these in a way that is meaningful, personal and fun! Too often the ceremony is rushed through to get to the party but what if the ceremony was the party (or the start of at least!)?
